Dan and I remember registering for wedding gifts as not-our-favorite-part of engagement. It’s a lot of decisions about a lot of things you aren’t really familiar with. Do you know how many types of towels there are out there? Not to mention how many colors and sizes. And then there is the fact that the two of us have to agree on each item.
It’s a lot of pressure.
We just spent a morning as a featured vender at Crate and Barrel’s Wedding Registry Event this past weekend, representing the world of wedding photography. For these events, Crate and Barrel opens the store early, exclusively for couples who are registering. They give out food, chocolates, coffee, tea, all while the couples have the run of the store. It’s really relaxed— with a “go at your own pace” kind of feel. In addition to a store full of registry options, there are a number of vendors and representatives from various companies (including one really great photography company).
It felt so different from our hectic, pressure-filled registering process. As far as registering goes, this might be the way to go. We’d definitely recommend taking advantage of this event if you can! You can click here to see when the next one will be in your area.
happy valentine’s day to you all.
