Fairmont Olympic Wedding: Matt and McKay

If you’ve never been to the Fairmont in Seattle, I hope today’s photos give you a taste of this beautiful place. It’s really quite the landmark. Matt and McKay’s Fairmont Olympic wedding was such a delight to be a part of.

We’d met with Matt and McKay a few times over Skype leading up to the wedding and were looking forward to finally meeting them in person on their wedding day. The day ended up being a different experience than we imagined. I was 8 months pregnant (we knew about that part), but Dan had an unexpected surgery a week before the wedding. The morning of the wedding he was re-admitted to the hospital, so I shot the day with our second shooter, Matt. All went beautifully, despite the improvising we had to do.

We started the day at the hotel, progressed to the church on Mercer Island for the ceremony, and the returned to the Fairmont’s gorgeous Spanish Ballroom for the reception.

Every portion of the day had been carefully thought through and it was so great to see this incredibly special couple surrounded by their family and friends celebrating their marriage. I think you’re going to love these photos.
